Clank Clank You're Dead
Collect Materials, Avoid Robots, Build the Bridge, Escape the Planet.
This was made for GMTK Game Jam 2022, and is our first game jam we've ever done
Every second you spend out collecting material, you risk the odds being against you and getting attacked!
Use WASD to move, and press Q and click to build robots. Use robots to collect material to build more robots or your bridge. The longer you stay out the faster the robots will produce material. But be careful, the longer you stay out the higher the chance the robots will randomly attack you.

Great game with great music
Fun! I wish there was a little more strategy than just placing as many robots as possible early, but still a nice challenge.
but there are no dice
nice presentation. This would make for a good premise and setting for an idle game. Once I had enough metal though, I just sat next to the bridge which wasn't much fun. Cool game!
nice game, simple but challenging. The graphics are really good while the music takes part in the creation of a really nice ambience. The chance of attack was really stressful and provided a cool challenge.
The gameplay was a little bit repetitive, but still, it was a great game
the game is fairly interesting, the presentation is its stronger aspect - it could be interesting to see different types of robots and resources and maybe expanding on the concept.
cool game, movement is a bit clunky but it works, The pixal art is also very nice although the animations could do with some work. Normal mode feels a bit easy (It only took me 2 days) but overall well done. Awesome for only 48 hours!
I'm sure you have heard lots about how great and smart the game is. but I have some criticism for the art I know there have been time constraints but whether or not the creators know about this but pixel mismatch is a big problem, and make sure you turn off texture filtering for part of the background. Those two points are what is required for the pixel art style (subjective). Hope you guys are ok with a pinch of criticism. :)
We are okay with it, thanks! I'll see if I can fix some of it before the time is up
How does your game fit the theme?
Our approach in this game was to focus on the probability aspect of dice. Within the game itself, doing the actions needed to win simultaneously increases the risk of losing, so you're constantly having to weigh odds of whether it's worth staying to collect more material or going back to your ship to safety.
Hello, i finished the game, i dont really understand what was the punishiment for dying, but i lke the robot construction thig, like risk and reward... Congrats for finishing your game!!
Thanks! That's a good point, I'll make it more clear what happens when you die
This was pretty cool! I really liked the artwork.
Thanks!
So I understood well enough to beat the game on the last day. The way the probability is presented feels like it's backwards though. Like, both in-game and under the hood, it feels highly likely that there's a specific time when the attack will happen, determined at the start of the day, and the "chance" is just a timer rather than any calculation of probability.
Other than that, the movement feels clunky, and it was hard to tell how to get back in the ship at first.
Thanks for the feedback, I'll see what I can do to work on that part of the game
its fun! I did it in 3 days and got attacked once and I got scared lmao
Glad you had fun! Good job on winning on day 3
thanks
Make more pls!
